Great anglers adapt. Now 361 Fishing adapts with you.
The new Custom Weights feature lets you fine-tune the “Where to Go” engine by emphasizing the factors that matter most for the conditions you’re fishing:
Prefer to favor bay locations that match the best wind direction?
Want more weight on mud bottoms on cold winter days?
Fishing the flats and want grass or sand to dominate?
Slide each factor to match your strategy, and the map repopulates with the best locations accordingly applying your weights in the algorithm. Your profile stays saved on the device, and you can switch between 361 Fishing Defaults and My Custom Weights at any time.
This feature gives you control comparable to a seasoned guide fine-tuning their approach before every trip.
Now let's walk through it. First, notice the gear icon under the "Where To Go"

When you tap on the gear, this screen below will display. You can either use our weights (361 Fishing Defaults), or specify your own.

When you choose "My custom" you'll get this screen below. Here is where you specify the things that are most important to you. In this example, wind direction is important, and this means you want to match the current wind direction with locations where that is the best wind direction (If wind is blowing from the NW, it will match locations where that is the best wind direction). Bottom Type is also specified as important in this example. The next section below is where you specify the bottom types that are most important to you right now. In this example, we are favoring bay locations with mud, shell and grass, we are not focused on sand or rocks.

Save the weights (at the bottom), go back to the main screen and tap "Where to Go". It will list five locations using your weights for the criteria. Tap it again and you'll get another five, and so on. Click on a location (red circle) and see more details about it including high and low tide times for that spot (a fan favorite).

The power is in your hands. Or you can use the 361 Defaults which we tweak frequently. Now go get 'em.
